There are many people, in the first instance, that would never actually accept tattooing as any form of art. Such people may even go as far as holding the opinion that tattooing is nothing more than the mutilation of one’s body. Luckily, this type of opinion predominantly seems to be held by the eldest generation and as more and more time elapses, so the attitude towards body art becomes progressively more positive.
Of course, we have to accept that one man's poison will be another person's meat and therefore there will always be people who are not prepared to adorn their bodies with any ink. This is fine, but just so long as they refrain from looking down their noses at other adventurous individuals that do choose to do exactly this.
At the end of the day, tattoos and art design does absolutely require a lot of skill. It takes a long time to learn how to become adept at body art and this is something that tends to be overlooked by the snobs in society that refuse to look beyond the outdated stereotypes.
These stuck up fools should bear just one big fact in mind, that being that around one hundred years ago, the art of tattooing was actually reserved for the upper classes. Indeed, it may surprise them to learn that even Prince Albert and Queen Victoria were adorned with several pieces of body art. So put that in your snobby pipe and smoke it!
